General Information

The first annual Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival will create a memorable experience where concert goers can explore the Mare Island Waterfront Promenade and Historic Coal Sheds while listening to 5 bands and taking in amazing views of Vallejo and the Napa River. They will enjoy local and international cuisine, exclusive Mare Island Brewing Co. beers, and have a choice of fine wines from around northern California region. While sipping their libations and enjoying the incredible music, Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival attendees can view artwork from local artists, browse through vendor arts and crafts, and pick out memorable one of a kind festival merchandise that was designed by a local artist.

The Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival features a 3x Grammy Award winning artist “Fantastic Negrito” and is complimented by 4 other headline groups that have many touring and festival accolades. This music line-up will bring people from all over the bay area to Mare Island to enjoy the first annual Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival.

Ferry Add-on Tickets

This is a special add-on ticket for people coming from SF or Marin. Blue and Gold Fleet will provide ferry service from Pier 41 in SF and Sausalito Harbor in Marin County to arrive at the Mare Island terminal at 12:30pm and Depart after the Festival at 9:30pm. There are only 500 tickets available for this service and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Ticket holders will have the option to choose Pier 41 or Sausalito as their pick-up and drop off location when they order their tickets. They will receive specific boarding details and times for pick-up and drop off via email after they purchase the ticket. Best to be prepared to be at Pier 41 in SF at least by 10am and Sausalito Terminal by 10:30am. There will be a band on the ferry to entertain the festival guests on the cruise to the Island. The ferry lands 2 blocks from the festival entrance so there will be a short walk to get to the festival. Staff and security will be on hand to direct you to the festival entrance once you arrive at the Mare Island Ferry Terminal.

Tickets and Wristbands

All Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival tickets are sold via the ftpresents.com website. Do not purchase from any other third-party website, Facebook, or reseller. Only tickets purchased via the ftpresents.com website will be accepted at the entrance to the festival. You will receive a digital ticket via email with a QR code embedded on the ticket. Each ticket is unique and tracked both with a ticket ID and Order ID. We will accept printed tickets as long as they are legible and the QR code can be scanned at the entrance to the festival. As a back-up you should have access to your digital ticket(s) that was emailed to you after your purchase. For extra convenience everyone who purchases a ticket from ftpresents.com creates a user account the first time they purchase a ticket. This account makes it much faster to buy future tickets and also creates a “My Tickets” account that can be accessed from any web browser on any device, so even if you lose your ticket, or can’t find the email, you will have access to retrieve your ticket(s) via the “My Tickets” link on the homepage at ftpresents.com.

Once we scan your printed or digital ticket at the entrance it will check you in to the festival. If anyone tries to give or print multiple copies of their ticket it will show that someone already checked in using that ticket number. So be aware that these are one time use tickets and cannot be duplicated. This is another reason why you should not buy a Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival ticket from any 3rd party seller to protect yourself from fraud. Once your ticket is scanned you are checked-in we will do an Age Verification ID check and give a special single use wristband for all age verified attendees. Be sure to have a valid ID on hand if you plan to drink beer or wine in the festival.

General Admission Tickets

A general admission ticket is $75 and includes parking in the GA parking lots. There will be parking attendants starting from The Mare Island bridge and the 37 freeway to direct people to the GA festival parking. As the GA lots fill up attendants will put up cones and lot full signs and direct attendees to the next available lot. GA attendee’s will be directed by festival staff to the GA entrance that will have barricades along the front of the coal sheds to the festival entrance. GA attendee’s will be met by security and staff at the entrance. ID checks and AGE VERIFIED wristbands will be put on each guest that is over 21. All bags and purses will be searched and a list of acceptable items to carry in will be posted on the website and emailed to each guest who purchases a ticket. All areas of the festival will be open to GA attendees except the inside bathrooms and VIP lounge (inside the brewery, and in front of the brewery). There will be tables and chairs along the waterfront and in the Food Court area. This seating is shared seating and will have time limits, so everyone has a chance to eat, rest, and enjoy the view.

VIP Tickets

A VIP ticket includes personalized service as soon as a guest arrives. VIP ticket holders will be greeted by a Valet Parking attendant in the parking lot directly in front of the venue. Self parking is an option for VIP ticket holders that do not want to use the valet service. VIP attendees will enter through the main glass doors to the promenade. They will be greeted by security and staff. ID checks and AGE VERIFIED VIP wristbands will be put on each guest that is over 21. Every VIP guest will be directed to the VIP Lounge and have access to discounted beer and wine pricing, and exclusive outdoor tables for drinking & dining. They will also have access to the MIBC food truck and access to super clean indoor bathrooms.

Vendor Applications

The Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival will feature a Vendor Village inside one of the three coal sheds on the promenade. We have space for about 34 vendors and want to be sure we have a balanced offering for festival attendee's. In order to present the best mix of art, jewelry, crafts, antiques, clothing, sweets, services, and more, we are asking all interested vendors to fill out our online vendor application. The vendors that are selected by our review committee will be sent a vendor agreement and payment instructions. Booth fee's are $175 for a 10x10 and $225 for a 10x15. There will also be a $50 add-on fee if your booth requires electricity.

Will there be access to ATM’s?

There are no ATM’s at the festival. Debit and Credit cards will be accepted by our food and beverage booths. Some arts and crafts vendors may require cash, so if you want to have cash on hand, please get it before you come onto the Island.

Is there a Lost and Found location?

In the GA Entrance closest to the promenade will be an information booth and a lost and found for any items that are retrieved or dropped off as lost. The lost and found will be staffed all day long during the festival and items will be held for up to 30 days after the festival is over. Email lost@dockofbayfest.com for any item you may have lost at the festival.

Health and Safety Information

Health & Safety of the Mare Island and Vallejo communities is a top priority for us. We are in close contact with local and state officials, working together to create the safest possible environment. Our festival team continues will monitor and learn from best practices as they are implemented across the events industry to provide the best and safest experience possible. We will support all pandemic related requirements and best practices at the time of the festival. We are hopeful that September will have most event venues operating close to normal. The Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival is an outdoor event along the waterfront and has a full capacity of 5000 attendees. We have capped our first year at 2500 to be sure safety can be enforced.

Will there be food at the festival?

The Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival is working with some of the best restaurants and food trucks the in the North SF Bay Area. A full list of food vendors will be published before the festival. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options will be available as well as many international cuisines.

Can I leave the festival and return the same day?

There will be no in and out passes for this event given the location is on an island with no business services or stores nearby and all amenities are being offered inside the festival for food and drinks. We will also have a medical tent with sunscreen, bottled water, and plenty of shaded areas for anyone needing to get out of the sun. Special circumstances and emergencies will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

ADA Accessible

We are striving to make the Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival as ADA-friendly as possible, including handicap parking, and wheelchair-friendly walkways into the venue. This is a waterfront festival and some of the promenade has railroad tracks and uneven pavement. We have done our best to make it as safe as possible but as always please be aware of your environment when moving around inside the festival.
